Linktec MD Alun David wins the Director General of the BBC's award.

Mark Thompson DG of the BBC at the BBC's celebration of diversity awards selected Alun and two others for special awards for the extra effort and impact they have made at the BBC.

Alun's efforts in making the Saturn project ( Workplace Scheduling ) accessible along with assisting other projects with accessibility issues made him stand out.

Linktec MD Alun David judge's the IVCA Clarion awards again

For the third year running ( 2005,6 & 7 ), Linktec MD Alun David, is on the judging panel of the IVCA Clarion awards for Social Inclusion.

linktec have been working with Nomensa to deliver the new LocalGovDirect Help desk, Web site and Good practice guidelines for all local authorities in the UK. The Site and help desk are now live with the best practice CD's being developed by April 06.

These will cover all topics relating to the web aiming to provide councils with, expert level, guidance on how to achieve their PSO ( Priority Service Outcomes) targets.

 

The Broads Authority

The New Broads Authority Web site serving the national park of the broads in Norfolk is now live.

This was developed on a platform of Nomensa's content management system "Defacto"

Linktec Project Managed the development. It was delivered on time and on budget.

 

Next Generation eCommerce unveiled at NATO Conference

Linktec MD and E Government Advisor to the BWDMA , Alun David, was a key speaker at the ECCMA Conference in October in Edinburgh, he delivered a presentation entitled "An industry overview of the eOTD impact upon the digital economy".

The presentation was very well received and covered, in broad terms;

From a simple review of the eOTD fundamental principles to considerations of the implications upon e-procurement, e-commerce, accessibility, search efficiency, user experience and beyond. A clarion call for the sector specialists to recognise the new business opportunity.

This was the world wide launch of the new XML Codification standard for ecommerce on the web.

Haringey

The Haringey Council web site has won the 2004 Clarion award for usability and accessibility.

It has been shortlisted for the RNIB awards 2004.
It won the GAWDS web site of the month in November 2004.
It has been shortlisted for the National Library for the blind. Visionary Design Award 2004.

We are particularly proud of this site as we have been heavily involved from concept all the way through to delivery and beyond as Project Strategists and Managers. Link to customer details of London Borough of Haringey.
