Heralding predicted advances in e-procurement, e-commerce, accessibility and search efficiency, NATO are unveiling the Open Technical Dictionary (eOTD) for coding semantic content at the 10th International Symposium on Codification held in Edinburgh in October this year.
Whilst the eOTD has broad potential across the digital economy it opens significant business growth opportunities for the web design segment. As large companies and government take the codifications advantage for e-procurement and e-commerce they will look to web design companies to implement the functionality. Web designers that grasp the knowledge now will have a forefront opportunity to provide technology to both public and private sectors. Web design firms would then have access to new levels of business with a new league of clients. The Electronic Commerce Code Association (ECCMA) recognize that web design firms whom welcome innovation will play a pivotal role in the codification market development.
The 10th International Symposium is a four day event from 10th to 13th October 2005. BWDMA have collaborated with ECCMA to provide a single day access to the symposium for all web design related topics. Alun David (BWDMA e-Government Advisor) will address the symposium with an overview for the impact upon the digital economy on behalf of the Association.
